This collection consists primarily of Belver Griffith's correspondence with collaborators and scholars studying scientific communication and information science, dating primarily from the 1970s and 1980s. Also included in the collection are several lectures, information on the awards Griffith received, a memoir dating from 1972, and reports to the dean of the College of Information Studies offering summaries of Griffith's activities. added on Fri, 08/05/2011 - 13:29

MC 58 Edward H. Monefeldt collection, 1925-2005, 0.17 cubic feet

Drexel alumnus and former adjunct professor Edward Harold Monefeldt (1907-2005) was born and raised on a sugar cane plantation with his seven siblings in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Mr. Monefeldt's collection gives a concise, yet interesting glimpse of the alumnus and professor’s adult life from 1925 until 2005. However, most of the collection’s items date from approximately 1925 until the late 1930s. Most comprehensively represented are his years as a student at the Drexel Institute of Art, Science and Industry, as well as his time in the 103rd Engineer Regiment of the American National Guard. The collection is largely composed of black and white photographs, including pages from a scrapbook. However, printed materials such as letters, booklets, and maps are also present.

Alumni Association records

added on Fri, 04/15/2011 - 14:31

UR 08.006 Alumni Association records, 1918-1992, 0.5 cubic feet

The collection comprises six series containing a variety of materials, including correspondence, letters and solicitations, constitutions and bylaws, directories and lists, fliers and brochures, text of speeches, descriptions of programs, summaries of past events, and newsletters. The earliest document in the collection is dated 1895 and the most recent dated 1992. While the materials relating to events and fund raising are more substantial than in the other series, all series have significant gaps. Items appear to have been donated sporadically by several different university offices and individuals who collected them on a haphazard basis. Assignment of folders reflects to some extent the original arrangement, which was inconsistent and in some cases overly detailed.
