Scholars Who Served: a History of Drexel's Veterans
World War II
The U.S. entry into the Second World War in 1941 had a profound impact on the Institute. Drexel students and faculty served in Europe and the Pacific. This section features photographs of and letters from Drexel students who served during the war. Particularly notable are letters from family members of students who were killed in the war, along with the program for the 1945 memorial service for those “Drexel men who died in service” to their country.
